Happy 2012! So far I have made no resolutions, and it seems there is no end to my eating of junk in sight.....I have been gorging myself on cookies, whoopie pies, peanut butter balls, etc....and cheese, and whatever else happens across my line of vision. The kids are enjoying this break in the anti-cookie rules of the house. Kevin is not so much.
I spent the 2nd day of 2012 in NYC, for the first time in my adult life. It was intoxicating. All I did was spend the day walking around, stopping when something looked interesting(which was A LOT), and eat. Of course. But it was amazing to not stress about an agenda, to go with an open mind and just appreciate the experience of such a busy and dynamic city. Along the way I met some interesting folks from Manchester, England and Holland. And imagined what it would be like to spend time at the Plaza hotel, while sipping the most expensive drink I have ever had. And channeled Audrey Hepburn as I stared at Tiffany's, and then accompanied a friend on the quest for the perfect ring....it was a lovely day. I found myself thoroughly beat down after the ten hours of walking, and completely satisfied with a day full of exploration. I highly recommed it.
